# ACRON Database Server

The database server is essential for working with the Designer and the ACRON modules, and makes the plant available in a network.

Communication is via TCP/IP. The network enable port must be assigned, and the server service installed and started. Once the service has been installed, it starts up automatically on every reboot, unless a different start mode for the service is selected in the Control Panel or diagnosis mode is used.

Diagnosis mode runs in a DOS box. It is not started the next time the system boots.

You can view all information and warnings in the runtime log.
