# ACRON Multiserver

The ACRON Multiserver functionality permits merging of selected data from any ACRON plants in one central location. All ACRON installations as from version 8.2, and additionally version 7.3 as from Service Pack 7, are supported (versions 8.0 and 8.1 are not supported). However, the ACRON version in the central location must not be older than the version of the connected plant.

The data is retrieved as required, not buffered, and so is always up-to-date.

The benefits of ACRON Multiserver at a glance:

* Unlimited data view across all plants
* Automatic data transfer on demand

(always up-to-date data, low network load)
* You can specify for each individual process variable whether it is to be allocated for connections (ACRON Multiserver).
