# ACRON Plant update

ACRON\_73\_PlantUpdate.exe provides a user interface by which plants can be updated from version 7.3 to the current version. The version 7.3 plants are retained. So it is important to check that there is enough disk memory in the new destination path for the configuration data (min. 20MB).

The update is a three-stage process:

In the first step the plant to be updated is selected and its configuration data read-in.

In the second step that data is updated to version 9. The plant is then available in Designer current version – however, no changes should be made to the plant configuration before importing the data.

In the third step, you can import the data from the old plant by **Copy** or **Move**. If you select the Copy data option, make sure there is enough memory capacity available for the data.

For details on updating to ACRON 9.3 refer to the separate document "ACRON\_73\_PlantUpdate.rtf“ in the program directory.
