# Designer access privileges

All areas can be viewed. Any changes made are not applied.

## Open Designer automatically in configuration mode

The (first) user is logged-in in [Configuration mode](/acron-9.3/en/erklaerung_zur_bedienung.md#konfigurationsmodus).

## Configuration <a href="#konfiguration" id="konfiguration"></a>

Configuration privileges for the areas in the ACRON Explorer.

### Process connection

The process connection function is used to configure the import of external data into ACRON. A process connection is defined and executed by a [Provider](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenkonfiguration/prozessanbindung/provider.md) with the corresponding communications driver.

### Process variables

Process variable (PV) is the generic term for different logging data types. You can assign multiple different process variables to an external variable, to obtain different analyses by the compression methods for example.

### Reports

In the report configuration you can edit the forms of the default templates, and create and configure report folders and their forms.

### Events

Right to configure events and their output modes.

### Input masks

Configuration of input masks for manual value recording.

### Alerts <a href="#alarme" id="alarme"></a>

ACRON offers the facility to create and edit alert groups, subgroups and alert variables.

### Service

Create entities and associated cyclic and extraordinary actions.

### Jobs

In Job configuration the so-called job files are created, containing the individual jobs for report outputs, import or export jobs.

### Units

In connection with [key figures](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenkonfiguration/verfahrensgroessen/kennzahl.md)/[key figure templates](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenkonfiguration/kennzahlvorlagen.md), and the facility to automatically convert units for [process variables](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenkonfiguration/verfahrensgroessen.md), it is necessary to work with standardized units.

### Key figure templates

Key figure templates form the basis for special calculation variables termed [key figures](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenkonfiguration/verfahrensgroessen/kennzahl.md).

### Connections

Connections are connecting objects to other plants or to their database servers.

### Plant language

Access to the plant language to create language files. When creating a language file, ACRON searches the configuration and the reports for custom texts (e.g. names of process variables, text fields in reports, etc.) and writes them to the language file.

### Remote notification

Facility to monitor the values of process variables during operation, and be notified of deviations by e-mail.

## Recalculate compression data

Right to recalculate the compression data via the [context menu](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenverwaltung/km_anlagen.md) of the plant / Recalculation or the [toolbar](/acron-9.3/en/anlagenverwaltung/wl_anlagenprojektierung.md) in Plant Management

Right to select/enter as date for the recalculation

Note

The preset date is the earliest date that can be selected by this user for a recalculation. The possibility for any user to recalculate all data should be prevented, as that takes a very long time on larger plants.
