### Output format

Selection of the format of data output, from Numerical, Text or Time

Note

for process variables with output format in text:

* Only the compression levels Interval and Day with the compression methods First value, Last value and Catenate are made available.
* No compression settings are possible from weekly recording upward.
* Only 'Values' are available as calculated components.
* Only 'Carry forward process values until next change' and 'Fill in missing process values' are available as substitute values for auto variables.

Auto variables with the output format Text can only be used for display in input masks; editing (overwriting the original value) is not possible.

* Selection of the time format (only for data output format Time):HH:MMHH:MM:SSDD:MM:YYYY

### Decimal places

Number of decimal places to output for all compression levels

* Positive values indicate the number of decimal places to output.
* Negative values specify rounding of the process variable values to tens, hundreds, thousands, etc.
