# Compression tab

Alongside other settings, the compression levels and the associated compression methods are selected here. The first available compression level is that of the calculation result. A compression method can only be selected if the calculation basis is below this compression level.

<details>

<summary></summary>

*Calculation basis = interval values*, *calculation result = interval value*

\=> The calculation basis and calculation result have the same compression level; no compression method is available.

*Calculation basis = interval values*, *calculation result = daily value*

\=> The first compression level is daily values; it is possible to select a compression method.

</details>

### Custom settings per compression level <a href="#individuelle-einstellungen" id="individuelle-einstellungen"></a>

Limit value range, unit and decimal places individual to each compression level

### [Limit value range](https://github.com/Dataforum-Software/gitbook/blob/master/acron/9.3/en/designer/glossar/grenzwertbereich.md) from / to / Limit value range basis from / to

Start/end of the limit value range for all compression levels or for the value basis (process values; "Custom settings per compression level" is not selected)

Note

The limit value range must be within the measuring range.

### Unit

The base unit of the key figure for all compression levels or for process values ("Custom settings per compression level" is not selected).

### Convert unit <a href="#einheit-umrechnen" id="einheit-umrechnen"></a>

Automatic conversion when using different multiples of one category

For example, volume flows in the unit l/s can be displayed at the subsequent compression levels in the unit l/h or m³/d.
