# Rückgabewert

Der Rückgabewert ist der Wert, den der Formeleditor als Ergebnis einer Funktion oder einer [Operation](/acron-9.3/intro/operator.md) zurückgibt.

Der [Datentyp](/acron-9.3/intro/datentypen.md) eines Rückgabewerts hängt von der jeweiligen Funktion beziehungsweise dem Wertetyp der [Argumente](/acron-9.3/intro/funktionen/argumente.md) der Funktion oder des Operators ab.

Sie können den Rückgabewert einer Funktion oder einer Operation nur dann als Argument einer weiteren Funktion oder als Operand verwenden, wenn diese Funktion beziehungsweise der Operator denselben Datentyp als Argument oder Operand erwartet.

Entspricht der Rückgabewert nicht dem geforderten Datentyp, müssen Sie eine der Funktionen zur Umwandlung zwischen zwei Datentypen verwenden.
