# Introduction

The device is an industrial-grade cellular multifunction platform. OpenWrt is preinstalled as the operating system with a web interface which can be regarded as the user interface of the operating system. In addition the Edge AIP application is installed which serves as the interface between modem and AIP. In AIP the modem can be stored as a Sending Media to implement SMS or e-mail dispatch from this device.
