# GE Historian

A GE Historian data source represents data from a GE Historian Server. All measurements on the GE Historian Server are assigned to a GE data source in JUNE5. The connection to the GE Proficy Historian Server is established via a "GE Historian Client Access API". For this, a "GE Historian Client Access API" compatible with version 5.0 is required.

GE Historian version 5.0 and higher is supported.

A JUNE5 license (Professional or Enterprise) with the Data Source for GE Historian option (Order No. JUNE5-OPTN-DS-GEH) is required.

## Port Number of the Historian Server

{% hint style="info" %}
The firewall must be configured by IT so that the server is accessible remotely in the network.
