# OSISoft PI System

An OSI PI data source represents data from PI Data Archive and PI AF servers. Each PI AF server is assigned a JUNE5 data source whose metrics can have a reference to PI Data Archive metrics. Data in the PI Data Archive is passed exclusively to the JUNE5 system via PI AF attributes. The connection to the OSISoft PI system is established via a "PI Web API". A PI Web API compatible with version 1.6.0 is required for this.

***PI servers from version 2015 R2 onwards are supported.***

A JUNE5 license (Professional or Enterprise) with the option Data Source (Order No. JUNE5-OPTN-DS-PI) is required.
